I will be monitoring Ice channel inventory into q1 on q4 production sale supply lag.

On Xeon Ice dud, even if Ice total volume is 2 million units that would be equivalent Pentium Pro P6 server large Cache volume at 1,928,880 units circa q2 1996 into 1997 determined on the Microprocessor Design Resource Grove era Intel supply signal.

Relying on the Barrett era supply signal cipher Ice is 44% of Dunnington’s 4.5 million units q3 2008 into 2009.

Sandy Bridge 2600 EP 2P alone is 27,736,088 units and Ivy Bridge 2600 EP 2P is 67,935,881 units on the Otellini era supply signal cipher that is precise however underrepresents actual v2 production volume by 575% on amount of product thrown into sales bundle as close incentive, contract completion reward and similar.

On CEO Gelsinger era supply signal including Xeon Ice and Tiger Lake mobile, on channel data I have Ice at 1,372,981 units through q4 equivalent another generation run end ‘in between’ Xeon that is Dempsey at 1,389,185 on Barrett era supply signal cipher that provides extremely precise results. I have previously, and numerously, portrayed Xeon Ice Lake as a ‘Dempsey’.

Xeon average q4 net across the full line is $722.37 that’s up minimally 13% from q4 and as high as 39% on the q3 cost of Cascade Lake run end sales reward also known as “fidelity rebate”. In q4 Intel sold 10,105,561 units of Xeon of which 1 million are rejected Ice Lake generation down in total volume by 1% from q4 too less 19.4% including Cascade Lake q4 run end fidelity rebated volume.

, Xeon Ice is approximately equal too

They previously claimed it was sampling in Nov, 2020.

Will AMD’s Genoa/zen4 server chip be expected to go through a similar >1yr evaluation before shipping in quantity?
