While we agree on the need and utility of having more intelligent, more programmable networks that can be managed and orchestrated more like servers than traditional switches, we differed on how to get there with Wedge turnout out to be a lot closer to our Cheap and Cheerful E68 than either our first offering, the F64 or our follow-on E28Q. Regardless, it was a huge honor to be well down a path selected by one of the most clueful and forward looking hyperscale players in the business, Facebook.

Now with Juniper stepping into the ring with their own server-switch, we are doubly honored. Now not only do we have hyperscale validation, we also have an enterprise facing network vendor with a justifiably strong reputation throwing down on the server-switch concept.

It’s awesome to have validation in high places.
